Smallholding – farming on a smaller scale

Shropshire Smallholders Group is a non-profit making organisation. We provide members with information and mutual support in animal husbandry and smallholding care.

Our members keep a variety of animals including chickens, sheep and pigs. Many grow their own fruit and vegetables.

Some members simply aspire to owning a smallholding, but have not achieved their dream yet. You can learn from our members and from the expert speakers at our monthly meetings at Longnor Village Hall, and then from February 2011 at Leebotwood village hall.

Membership is open to all. You can join as an individual or as a holding – a bit like family membership.
