Take the first step towards owning alpacas

You’ve probably been looking at alpacas in the field down the road or at the local agricultural show and thinking how good it would be to have some; but where to start? You’ve so many questions!

Alpaca

A great place to start is to attend an Introduction to Alpaca Breeding course at Livanti Alpacas.

You receive lots of practical, no nonsense information and advice so that you make the decision as to whether alpacas are for you. Should you start with fibre producing males or breeding females; how many, what quality etc.

You’ll also understand more about what’s involved in looking after them, how you can make an income, what equipment you’ll need; everything you need to make an informed decision.

You will meet alpacas and get “up close and personal” with them; find out what the fibre feels like, how to put on a head collar, see a field shelter, talk about fencing, water and feed.

Our courses are run by friendly and knowledgeable Yorkshire woman Liz Barlow, who is a qualified trainer and Judge for the British Alpaca Society and has been breeding alpacas for 11 years
